There is no document viewer for iPhone installed on it. Although, your iPhone can read Microsoft Word documents and PDF documents if they are attached to your emails. Since the iPhone already has the capability to read .doc and .pdf documents it shouldn’t be to hard to write an application, a document viewer for iPhone that would let you view documents stored on your iPhone.
There is also a problem if you want to save the documents you received by email to your iPhone. You need an email service that pushes the email to your iPhone and not one that just lets you view your emails and leaves them on the server. For this you can try Yahoo.
Other trick to store and view .pdf documents on your iPhone is to print your .pdf as a picure and view them in your iPhone Photo application. You have to save PDF to iPhoto in your Preview app on OS X, type in the name of the document, save it to the folder that is also selected in iTunes and then sync your iPhone. When you browse photos on your iPhone you will also see the PDF broken down by pages. You can view, scroll, and zoom it like any other photo. This is a nice document viewer for iPhone workaround.
There is no MMS on iPhone, no MMS iPhone viewer. If you have to send a picture you have to use email, if someone sends you a MMS you get a link to view it in Safari. So how can you solve this?
Well, there is an applications that works as a MMS iPhone viewer, but it is still in the early stages of development so it is a bit sketchy :). You have to hack (jailbreak) your iPhone and play around a bit, so if you are not comfortable with that, there is sadly no way to send or receive MMS directly on you iPhone. Also the MMS viewer only works with pictures, it does not work with sounds and movies.
If you want to try the MMS iPhone Viewer go to Swirly.
Since the launch of iPhone (and even before) there has been lots and lots of buzz surrounding the new Apple phone. Big expectations and hot discussions like always when it comes to Apple and Apple fans. High expectations and quite a high price left some people disappointed when they got their hands on their iPhones. So there was a flood of iPhone complaints regarding the new iPhone.
This site was first intended just for that - people posting their iPhone complaints. But we soon realized this was kind of to narrow so now you can read all kind of iPhone reviews. Positive reviews as well as negative iPhone complaints. The later are still in majority so if you are looking for iPhone complaints you came to the right site. Just go to the homepage of the site to read the reviews of iPhone or browse this site for some of the iPhone complaints we collected.
If you want to review your iPhone and share what you think about it, what do you like, what you dislike with others go here. Or you can just read what other people think of their iPhones and read their reviews of iPhone.
First you need to press the green “Phone” key on the main screen of your iPhone and make a call.
To activate the Speakerphone function on your iPhone you need to press the speakerphone button above the caller’s information. You can switch on and off.
You can use the Mute key and cut of the microphone of your speakerphone, Mute key is on the call screen.
You can also use the “Hold” key at the bottom of the calling screen so you can speak to other people without bringing callers into the conversation. You can also use other iPhone features while you are using speakerphone (like internet…).
You can also adjust the volume level of the speakerphone on iPhone, volume buttons are on the side of the iPhone.
Speakerphone on iPhone problem?
Well, one of the more common iPhone problems or flaws is the speakerphone on iPhone or to put it better - the sound volume of the speakerphone. It’s just to damn quiet. The speakerphone volume can vary from one iPhone to another, some phones have normal volume and others are to quiet. Upgrading your firmware doesn’t seem to work, so if you use speakerphone on iPhone a lot, you should take your iPhone back to Apple to get it fixed/replaced.
We are not sure this is 100% true but the word is that we might have been to early to be happy about the iPhone beeing unlocked. It can happen that all unlocked iPhones will become useless. Apple updates will turn unlocked iPhone into a useless unrepairable brick.
We are not sure, but are there even legal grounds that stop people from unlocking their phones?
We got another complaint, this time it is from ruth: “Well, Steve, even Ellen Degeneris gave one young iPhone owner in her audience $200 because she felt so bad for the young lady who had been “taken.” Step up to the plate, Mr. Jobs, and return $200 to your, at least previously, devoted audience. Especially since you are only offeing Apple credit, $200 seems like the appropriate compensation, not the mere $100 credit. All the credit is going into your “pocket” anyway.“
It seems this site is not the only one complaining about the iPhone. Recently we found an interesting piece of statistics about searches related to iPhone. There are a few tools on the internet that give you a glimpes in what people are looking for using major search engines. If we try and find the popular searches related to iPhone then iPhone complaints is the secon most searched term. I guess there are a lot of unhappy iPhone owners out there.
New Cell Phone models come out almost every day. New features, longer lasting battery, new look… there are many reasons to get a new cell phone. Most of the people have more than on old cell phone at home lying around. Now there is a chance to Sell Old Cell Phones. How?
Believe it or not, there are over 100 million cell phones retired every year in the US alone! So how many are there altogether? Chances are most of your friends have an old cell phone or two they aren’t using and are collecting dust in some drawer. How many people sell old cell phones? Not many. And even more, this big pile of used cell phones is also a ecological problem because old cell phones must be properly recycled or they have negative impact on the environment.
So if you have an old cell phone you are not using you can now sell it, get some cash or help the environment at the same time! If your phone is still interesting, you will get a few bucks, if it is not it will get recycled for free.
Submitted complaint: “Two major flaws with the iPhone: no voice dial and no way to sync a document of any kind (even text) between the phone and your PC. I like the phone but without these capabilities its not very usable especially if you’re used to a pda.” Thanks to plf!
I purchased my iphone last month, it’s been over 2 weeks, and I just found out today that the price is NOW $$200.00 CHEAPER??????? The phone has only been out for 10 weeks!!
I find this type of promotion for Mac to be deceitful to the customers who stood inline and purchased one when it came out!! I bought mine about 4 weeks after it’s debut, and If I had known the price was going to come down so soon, I would have waited. I thought the prices were not going to come down for at least 6months to a year. I feel cheated and taken advantage of.
I understand a $100 refund is being given to customers who bought it within 2 weeks of the price cut, well, that doesn’t cut it for the rest of us! For the price to have been cut so soon after it came out is outrageous.
I guarantee you, you have upset your biggest fans, “the people who rushed out and got it, no matter what the price” including myself, and I will not make this mistake again. I feel this was a huge mistake on your part, because the next time you come out with any kind of revolutionary device, customers will not be so quick and eager to rush out and get it, after the low blow you just pulled.
Steve Jobs from Apple offered compensation to people that bought the iPhone for 500$ or 600$. Apple reduces the iPhone price for 200$ and caused rage between iPhone owners that paid the full pride for their phones.
The new iPhone price for a 8Gb verison is now 399$ while the 4Gb version will not be produced anymore. This trigered a series of iPhone complaints from angry customers. So Steve Jobse decided to offer a 100$ coupon to everybody that paid the full price. Coupon can be used in any of the Apple stores.
Steve Jobs: ‘We are sorry if we dissapointed our customers, we will do everything to meet your high expectations.”
iPhone is cracked. iPhone crack was discovered and released by Jon Lech Johansen who successfully broken the activation code for AT&T in iTunes. If you ask me it was just a matter of trime it always happens. John who is also known as “DVD Jon” since he broke the encryption on DVDs has tricked the iPhone to switch into its normal mode.
iPhone calling services will not work with this iPhone crack but iPod and Internet will work just fine. We will let you know when and where this iPhone crack will be available for download.
Instant messaging (IM) is a form of real-time communication between two or more people based on typed text. The text is conveyed via computers connected over a network such as the Internet. iPhone Instant messaging is…it isn’t, there is no Instant messaging (IM) on your iPhone.
iPhone will not run any third party applications. That means all the programs must come praom Apple. Well at least that was the general idea. But as usual, hackers around the world managed to crack the iPhone and remove this barrier.
Useally when the phone battery get weak you just open the back of the phone, remove the old one and get a new one. Well, this is not the case with iPhone. You have to take your iPhone to Apple dealer that will replace the beterry for you. And charge you quite a lot for that.
There is no way to play a video clip on your iPhone. This complaint was already posted before. This is kind of undestandable if you know there is no way to record a video with your iPhone. The built in iPhone camera can only take pictures.
Apple decided to sell iPhones only through one carrier in US. AT&T Mobility is the exclusive carrier of the iPhone in the United States and will remain so until 2009 or later.
